Community

At Northern Lights we care about our community and the world around us,

and we're fortunate enough to be in a position to offer assistance to those who truly need it. In 2008, NLPC employees participated in “Mission to Mississippi,” part of Wayland to Waveland, a Hurricane Katrina relief project.

Local area contracting companies who regularly work for the eight builders leading this effort contributed people and tools over a 16-week period to build eight homes in Waveland, MS. Approximately 40 companies were involved (e.g., plumbers, electricians, roofers).

We were thrilled to be in a position to help Bread & Roses with a painting project in 2022. There’s nothing better than helping people that help people! They are a great organization that does so much good for the community. They would always welcome more help, so click on the link if you are feeling generous!

In 2023 we undertook a major restoration project for the Bellesini Academy — an independent, Catholic middle school dedicated to providing quality scholarship education to young men and women from limited financial means living in Lawrence. The mission of the school is to provide an academically challenging and highly structured environment that develops the potential for each student to succeed in competitive secondary schools and colleges. Their small classes, challenging curriculum, extended school day, month-long summer program, and alumni support program help their students reach their full potential. The primary goal of the Academy is to ensure that all graduates go on to complete high school and earn a four-year college degree.
